I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Melanie has a very easy and engaging style of writing. She makes you feel like you are right there with her, experiencing everything she and Roger are going through. Her seven tools in the toolbox are very clever; very well explained and laid out.

Some parts were heartbreaking or infuriating, depending on my perspective. As a nurse, I know it can be difficult to get to all the things that need to be done in healthcare, but as Melanie pointed out, intervening early on saves time and energy in the long run. I’m glad it all worked out in the end. Spoiler alert, the ending had a good outcome!

Well written, Melanie. An informative and enjoyable read!

My only suggestion? Include the recipe for your homemade ham and cheese quiche- hearing about it made my mouth water! It made me want her recipe so I could make one!

My book included a bookmark with the 7 tools listed; what a clever idea! I’ve never seen that done before and I found it very useful! It was evidence of Melanie’s artistic and creative side.

Thank you for this terrific read with so many useful tips! Very well done and so glad everything worked out!
